I Love To Blog

I love to blog
I love to write
I check the time
It’s past midnight

My eyes are red
My shoulders hurt
My butt is numb
I’m getting curt

I checked my stats
I made a dollar
I want to shout
I want to holler

I like to link
And speak my mind
I never know
What I will find

You can’t blog wrong
Though others say
To do it right
Do it their way

I love to blog
I’m having fun
I check the clock
It’s now past one

Money’s an issue
I’ll make you a bet
But, don’t plan on counting
Your chickens yet

Blogging’s hard work
It’s not for the meek
It’s not for the lazy
And not for the weak

If you want a good blog
It takes lots of time
You make make a hundred
Or only a dime

If you blog to make money
And you don’t love what you do
The dollars won’t roll in
And you’ll feel blue

For blogging is something
You must love with your heart
Money may follow
But that’s not why to start

I love to blog
And so do you
I check the time
It’s now past 2 (a.m.)

Good Night!

  1. HI Barbara How is blogging? You left a comment on my blog and I felt compelled to check your blog and here I am laughing about that funny poem about blogging. Blogging is fun especially when you love what you write about. I have the opportunity to write on what I work on everyday, which is Information technology. My work and my blogging is fulfilling in this sense, because everything that I discover in my career, I have the chance to share it with everyone interested in the same thing out there. Blogging is rewarding when there is no greed emotion behind it. In my situation, I started helpdesk geek with the purpose to create a site with all the good tools out of there to make my job more efficient, and also to be part of a community of people interested on the same things I am. It is fun, and has improved my life and career greatly. Thanks for coming to my blog, and I will be visiting yours regularly.

  2. Hi Nelson,

I’m glad you liked the humor of my poem. I’ve been on a poem “roll” lately, and decided to do one for this blog, as well.

Isn’t it great how we us bloggers find each other by the comments we leave on other sites?

When I checked out your site, I didn’t understand some of the technical stuff you were writing about, but when I saw your post about blogging, I knew I could share my thoughts on that one.

Welcome to my blog. I’ll be adding you to my “Blogging Buddies”.

    Happy blogging!

  3. Thanks Barbara for the link. Yeah, I think commenting on other blogs is a really good way to increase the exposure of your blog. Sometimes I swing out of my niche and write about things that come to my mind randomly, I guess is a good way to come out of a professional set, and show up some personal stuff. Thanks for the link, again.

  4. Hello again, Nelson,

I just created another link to you, in the post I just published.

I was inspired to write about how commenting on other blogs generates traffic, and you are part of my story.

    Check it out at: https://bloggingwithoutablog.com/comments-generate-traffic/

You have the start of what looks like a great blog. I checked out your post on how to permanently delete files from your computer. That’s quite interesting.

I also like how you used your photo in your URL. Why don’t you write a post about how to do that? Us non-computer gurus, can use all the help we can get.

  5. Thanks for the other link Barbara, I actually created a post on how to make your logo or picture show up next your blog URL, check it out at my blog, thanks for the link again and thanks for the idea on creating a post on how to create a favicon icon, these are things we sometimes take for granted assuming everyone knows how.

    Nelson

  6. Nelson,

Thank you for sharing how to create a favicon for your blog.

I checked out your post, and greatly appreciate the link back to mine.

I hope more of my readers will visit you, and see the easy instructions for creating a favicon…..another new word for us bloggers.

    Many thanks!

  7. Nice!

Yes, blogging rules. And you have so wonderfully presented that in this poem.

  8. Barbara, this is so funny, not to mention true. I didn’t even realize you were a poet. 🙂
