Celebrating One Year Of Blogging

Today is my one year anniversary of blogging.

I’ve been thinking of how to celebrate this special day, and I knew what had to be done.

For the past few months I have been wanting to get my “Blogging Buddies” page rewritten, so I have made it my mission to have it done by today.

For those of you who aren’t aware of my Blogging Buddies page, here’s the premise:

When I started blogging, I wanted to show my appreciation to anyone who commented on either this, or my Observation Mountain (OM) blog. I created a page, which was a list of links to everyone’s site. After researching “link farms” it became obvious I might have created one with this list of links, so I took the page down.

I have now rewritten it, and included more text.

It’s my way of thanking all of my loyal readers and commenters for providing me with support, motivation, inspiration and friendship during the past year.

So, without further ado, here’s my new and updated “Blogging Buddies” page.

From here on in, you can find it in the header.

As new commenters arrive, their names will be added to the page.

To everyone…., thank you for your support.

I’m sending you all cyberspace (((((hugs))))) πŸ™‚

  1. Happy Bloggiversary! I am so grateful to have you as one of my daily reads. I have learned so much from you, and even today you have taught me something. I have never heard of a “link farm” but I’m sure my “blogroll” may fall under that category. I plan on correcting it — some day when I have nothing better to do (hee hee.)

Have a great day and enjoy that yummy dessert you have up there. It looks awesome!

  6. Hi Debbie,

Thank you for the well wishes.

Re: the link farm, I’ve never heard that a blogroll can be a link farm, and I’m not positive that a page (vs a post), would be considered as one, but I didn’t want to take a chance when I wrote my Blogging Buddies page.

    Hi David,

Your compliments are so kind. I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying my writings. I’ll be over to your blog later to read that latest post of yours.

    Hi Hunter,

Your well wishes are greatly appreciated. I think me and the blogs will take a trip down memory lane. I have a feeling that may inspire topics for a few more posts.

It was time consuming to put the Blogging Buddies page together, but that’s the least I can do. You all are so loyal to me.

    Hi Nez,

    Thank you!

I’m looking forward to my second year. It will be fun following all of you as well. We’re in this together.

    Hi Catherine,

Your generosity and support are always a blessing, and for that I am grateful.

The dessert does look yummy hey? I give credit to the photographer, but unfortunately don’t have any to taste.

  7. Hi Sterling,

Thank you for the kind words.

Without all of my loyal readers and commenters, I don’t know if I could have stayed motivated to keep writing.

  8. Barbara – You Rock! It’s time to celebrate your own accomplishment of blogging for a year. And you celebrate by generously listing and linking to your blogging buddies. Very thoughtful of you!

We all know it takes motivation and persistence to keep blogging for a year. And you’ve clearly got both.

You’ve also got generosity. Which makes this a special blog.
