The answer came to me immediately: I blog to keep away the physical pain I live with daily. Since I don't get out much - except to teach a few hours a week - blogging has put me in touch with interesting people whom I might never have had the opportunity to meet in "real life." Blogging - and reading the blogs of others - keeps me in touch with humanity. Rita Barbara,
