All the more reason for inserting links in your posts. They would be importing those links too.

I think I am going to start researching to see what else we can do to protect our posts.

I’m hoping that Google wouldn’t penalize us, if we are the original author. It seems like I read that we need to be careful not to have duplicate content within our own blog, so……….maybe we wouldn’t be the ones penalized.

The joys of blogging, hey?

Awhile ago I wrote a post about a service that is free to use from Copyscape. I have a link to it in my post titled: Has Your Content Been Plagiarized

It is sad to think people stoop so low as to steal content from blogs, but at this time, I believe all you can do is try and track them down (via an IP address), contact them, and ask them to stop.

We don’t need a copyright symbol to legally stop people from stealing our work in the real world. But on the Internet there seems to be an awful lot of plagiarism. Some people even clone whole sites. I know someone cloned one of Rosalind Gardners sites but they were foolish enough to leave in some of the affiliate links.

I don’t know how easy it is to catch these people, or whether we can do anything legally. And the Internet is so huge that it would be difficult to catch them.

Is there some type of software we can use to do this?
