  1. Hi Barb – That is so pretty. Happy Holidays to you too. I haven’t been using Twitter much lately and knowing you will be there has given me a good enough reason to get on there and catch up. Hey remember when the old days, when we actually had time to do “old fashioned” email 🙂

I hope you have a wonderful break. But I am dying to know how you’re getting on with your new project and when you will be launching.

    1. Thank you Catherine,

Yes, I remember the good ‘ole days with emails instead of Twitter and/or Facebook. *sigh*.

As for the new project. I hope to work on it during my break and get closer to the unveiling. Crossing fingers 🙂

  2. Barbara,
Happy holidays to you and your family! What a wonderful message to see here today. And it’s reminding me to slow down and enjoy the moments in the days ahead. It’s been great being here this past year (and then some)…

This is brilliant 🙂 Rhymes always put a smile on my face and purple just happens to be my favourite colour. Happy holidays to you and your family. See you on Twitter.

  4. Hi Barbara, Warmest holiday wishes to you and your family. I’ve enjoyed reading your blog all year & look forward to more in 2010. Cheers, Brad

  5. Merry Christmas, Barbara – This was so lovely. I am grateful I stumbled across your blog in 2008 when I was researching how to get started in the blogging world. What a wealth of information, ideas and experiences awaited! All the best to you and your family during this season of light, and warm wishes for an exceptional New Year!

  6. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you too Barbara! Your poem is adorable and I do love purple. I figured now was as good a time as any to come out of my lurking stage (I’ve been too busy reading through the archives) and actually leave my first comment. I’ve been subscribed for awhile and I promise there will be more comments to come in 2010.

  7. Hi Barbara .. lovely .. love the colour and the stars.

Enjoy the relaxing, peace, lack of square eyes, lack of square bottom! – have fun, be good?!, and just have a glass full of all you could possibly desire – and here’s to a really successful 2010.

Have a great time making those cookies. Both they and the memories you create will be priceless.

  13. Barbara, I loved the poem you wrote and the message you’re sending. I just told a friend today that I was considering this week and next a sort of “blog vacation.” If I get a new post published, great. If not, I’m not going to sweat it. I need some time away to decompress from work and to refresh for blogging in the new year.

Enjoy your holidays, Barbara!! And thank you for all you do here on your blog. It’s so helpful and insightful.

    Best,
    Kathy

    1. Thank you Kathy,

I agree. Time off is a great way for us to decompress and recharge our batteries. With the holidays and a new year just around the corner, rest and relaxation is the perfect “medicine”.

Have a very happy holiday and healthy and prosperous New Year.

    1. Happy Holidays to you too, Tess,

And best wishes for a grand new year. Sure, you can more to the front of the class. And as always, an invitation is extended to you or anyone else who would like to be “substitute teacher” by doing a guest post.

  14. What a wonderful message, Barbara, and so very pretty, too! LOVE the sparkles! 🙂 Enjoy your break this holiday season, have fun with loved ones, rest some, and soak up all kinds of warmth of spirit and hearth. I hope it’s a particularly blessed time for you.
Except for Facebook (can’t seem to leave it alone), I’ve also relaxed my online presence and had even considered a two- or three-week hiatus (could I actually manage to DO that?) while really digging into writing. Knowing others will be on break, too, makes it easier, like I’m not missing out on the party. 😉
All the best to you, Barbara, and the very happiest of New Year’s to you as well. Hugs! ~Julie

  15. Haven’t been here in a while, but I must say I love the poem.
