I’m not sure how I met this blogger, but I’ve enjoyed many of her writings and knew one day she would be showcased as a “New Blog Of The Week” (NBOTW).
Hers is what I would consider a self help blog. She shares stories from books she has read, as well as articles based on life experiences. Her hope is to grow and to help others. Reading this blog has reopened my eyes to all of the possibilities that surround us.
In her post titled: The Power Of Choice” she says,
It is very easy to blame our failures on external circumstances. For most of us we always tend to take the easy route of placing the responsibility for something going wrong on other people, situations or external factors. In fact it is human nature to point the finger. Oh yes, we are all self exalting, never accepting that we can go wrong….However, there is no power in playing victim….
Although most us know the outcomes are based on our personal choices, this is a great reminder to check our ego at the door and ask if we’re blaming others or taking responsibility for our actions.
When I read the following statement in her post titled “Boost Your Achievements In 9 Simple Ways”, it reminded me of why I blog. Point number 8 is:
Do not conform
Most of us buy into other people’s ideas and thoughts without even questioning it. If someone says, ‘It’s hard to get a job’, we immediately buy into that. If someone says that, ‘you will never make it’, we fall for it. Do we have to fall for it? No. Do we have to accept everything just because someone says it so? No. We have freedom to ask questions, and we have the freedom to see things differently if we wish to.
When we read blogs, we’re given the choice to agree or disagree with what the author wrote. What works for one blogger may not work for another, If we’re ever in doubt, we can research a little deeper and/or test what we’ve read. It’s up to us to then draw our own conclusions.
This blogger was honored to be on the Bob Proctor Cruise. Upon returning she wrote a post titled “10 Lessons To Create A New You”. A favorite quote she shared was from Paul Martinelli. He said:
“You can never outperform your self-image”.
There’s a lot of truth in those seven words. Our self image can make us, or break us, and we have the power to change it.
When she wrote her About page she shared her hopes for her blog.
…A place where my soul will dance and reach the moon. My home. As I write, as I communicate with you, may I continue to grow and may you grow with me….
So simply put, but so moving.
I’m proud to introduce you to Sharon from All Is Within.
Welcome again Sharon.
Enjoy your reign as “New Blog Of The Week”.
