Hi Sue,

Welcome to the BWAB community. It's great to know Google (reader) recommended my blog. :)

Not having immediate access to other tweets could be a disadvantage. That certainly wouldn't do me any good to have it on my cell phone as I normally have it turned off.

Hi Kelly,

Thank you for the link to the YouTube. I watched two video clips. That is a very expressive "dance". I'm guessing the meaning behind all of the movements and words is a story (or a blog post) in itself.

Hi Eric,

I'm hoping your community page works out. Be patient and keep reminding others they can be a part of it. That was fine that you included a link. I'll have fun watching it grow.

That's rather sad we would get numb to technology as it becomes such a time saver (at times). I do understand your point though of thinking, ".....I need to learn THIS now". Being in the technology business, I can see how some days you must feel overwhelmed., but how exciting to be able to teach it to others. :)

Hi Ellen,

Yum! Fries in ranch. :)

I don't remember all that much rain in Michigan, though I do remember the snow. Bailing water out of your basement sure doesn't sound like a fun job. Hopefully you'll see a break in the weather real soon.

Hi Sunil,

How sad that others are just trying to steal applications and games from the developers. If those are the kind of people you were seeing on forums, I understand why you left.

Hi Barbara,

Random fact about me: I like dipping fries in Ranch.

I've lived all over Michigan except the east side of the state. I've also lived in Colororado in the four corners area, and in England for a short while.

It has been raining here in Michigan like a monsoon, so you're not missing much! Our basement flooded and my husband had to suck up the water with a the shop vac. Seventeen gallons he said.

Twitter is okay, but I get bored trying to talk to people who don't want to chat. I've found the only people who will generally talk to you are people you've met in Bloggingville.

But as a networking/marketing tool I think it's okay.

@Barbara: "I like your new community page. Letting people add photos is a great way to get to know each other better plus gives them a central location to do so."

Thanks! I'm really excited about it. Anytime I hear someone talk about a passion of theirs I'm always thinking, "Great, now let's put some images up to show us what drives you, what gives you joy." Because I know that many of us would feel the same and be able to share that experience. At this point, the only hard part is getting it going. As you know I've thrown up a few images of my own and one of my readers has submitted a few, but I know that it won't be until a few more go up that others will want to get involved. It's kind of like being in a big group when there's silence. Everybody's afraid to break that silence, but once someone does it, everyone chimes in. So I'm just waiting for a few more submissions to help get it rolling.

I don't usually drop links in a comment so this is completely for anyone curious about what we're talking about. But if you are, here is where you'll find it.

"Being a technology consultant, you must see a huge difference between the old systems and the new. Progress. It’s amazing."

You start to get numb to it. After a while you stop saying, "WOW, check this out!" and start thinking more like, "OK, so I need to learn THIS now." When you're a 'so called' expert on the subject you start to feel like you're on a treadmill. You keep learning just to maintain your position. If you stop learning new things you'll be worthless to you're clients in a year or so. But don't get me wrong, overall it's a fun treadmill to be on. :-)

Hmm, not so sure about that Barbara. I don't really want the world to see me doing the Haka - it's not very ladylike.

The Haka is the traditional Maori warrior dance and it's usually not done by women, but I was taught it at school and by Maori friends. These days most people are familiar with it because the New Zealand football players do it before a match.

Here's a link if it works:
