It’s really quite possible to scan through about 30 posts within a matter of 30 minutes or so.

There are two things that make me add someone to my blog reader.

Either

a) Something about their blog interests me
or
b) They are frequent commenters on my blog and I want to keep in touch with them.

a) and b) frequently cross over, too. :)
