I recently discovered that if you change the title to your WordPress post after you’ve published it, you must also change the “post slug”; otherwise, your URL permalink will continue to display the original title. (providing you’re using “pretty” permalinks)

If you’re writing with keyword density in mind, make sure you change the post slug.

Making this change is easy in a WordPress blog. Just go to “Manage”, “Posts”, and click on the post title you want to change. In the right hand column, you’ll see the “Post Slug” category. If the complete title of your post isn’t showing, just scroll right and make the necessary change. Click on the “Publish” button, and it’s done

To test the correction, just go to your site and click on the post you’ve corrected. The URL/Permalink should be reading correctly.

How easy was that?

Now, the next thing I need to figure out is how to get the post re-indexed………hmmmmm.
